Oh boy was I ever excited for this figurine. I’m please that we finally have it and are able to highlight it for you guys/gals this week.  As the title shows we’re going to be taking a look at Tsukiko from the anime Hentai Ouji To Warawanai Neko.  It’s ironic because I actually read this manga while it was newly translated and loved it, however at the time whoever was doing it decided to drop it and shortly afterwards the anime was announced!  Naturally I was stoked because Tsukiko is sort of like, my dream character… Lolish flat chested dandere girl… mmm mmm yes.

This figurine was done by Kotobukiya who I am almost always a fan of.  Look at that face, she is adorable, her character is just perfect for a Yuki Nagato obsessed person like I am.  Admittedly we still have yet to finish the anime, however it is probably going to fall into one of those situations where it’s never finished as long as I never watch it all…

Well lets get down to the figurine itself, there really isn’t much bad with it in terms of design or even execution. The lines are relatively clean meeting with what I would call Kotobukiya standards, there is a little bit of molding issues near the shoulder cloth area and I’m not really a fan of the way the skirt kinda tucks in at the waist area either but these are all negligible things.

Something that is definitely noteworthy to any major or even minor figurine collector would be this apple.  Yes it is magnetized so it will not fall off her head.  It also serves a double purpose in my eyes, because she has an apple or anything on her head, it helps to hide the hair seam that is basically on every figurine.  The magnetization is something … I’d like to say new but a few companies have been doing it.  Personally anytime you have a hat or any prop that goes on a head, it should be magnetized.  Major props on this call guys excellent work.

While the figurine itself does kinda come off as a typical schoolgirl figurine, it was interesting to see a few of the other things they did to “spice it up” as it were.  The shadow of the cat is a semi-translucent … thing.. that kinda goes in under her shoes and pops up like that by itself.  It gives the figurine a unique look which I quite enjoy being a huge cat lover.  It’s nice to see something a little bit different, while I’m sure I would of enjoyed the figurine regardless of what they did, it’s nice to see that they realized that by itself it would be plain so they added that.

It does come with a little cat, which I am honestly starting to wonder how many of these little cat figurines we own… interesting side note that Dinara didn’t capture with this, is that the pad on the paws are actually painted onto this kitty as well.  It’s just the little things that count you know?

And what photo shoot would be complete without there being some gratuitous pantie shots from my darling wife.  The nice thing is, goddamn, I love cat girls.  This figurine should of come with replacement hands that were just big fuzzy cat glove… oh man that totally would of completed it for me.

All in all I wont say that the figurine is an “exceptional” figurine.  It will definitely be one of my more favored in our collection.  From the character itself down to the pose and panties and cat girl.  There is very little I dislike about this figurine.  They really could of done significantly worse with this but instead they gave it a nice pose with some interesting props coupled with excellent craftsmanship I really enjoy this.  I of course would recommend this to anyone period as a cat girl figurine is a must have for any collector or non collector alike!  With that said, here’s an opening to an anime that if you have not watched, then you have wasted your life… Thank you.
